IS THIS TREATMENT SAFE TO DO AT HOME?
This detox option costs much less than an inpatient or residential detox program. It is provided in an outpatient setting, yet it provides a level of monitoring and safety similar to inpatient detox programs. This is accomplished through daily virtual clinic visits combined with phone contact from RN’s and monitored vitals. Nationwide government sponsored studies have proven that in appropriately screened patients, detox from alcohol and opiates/opioids can be provided safely and effectively as an outpatient program, and Clean Clinic follows those guidelines.
ARE YOUR SERVICES COVERED BY MY INSURANCE?
Yes, this is covered by most insurances. Clean Clinic is one of the only clinics which can bill insurances for this service as a medical service, not a psych service.
CAN I CONTINUE TO GO TO WORK AND FULFILL OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES WHILE GOING THROUGH THE DETOX PROCESS?
One of the most difficult issues in existing detox programs is the time taken from home and work responsibilities. Clean Clinic’s detox program does not require a patient to disengage from home and work responsibilities to fully participate. Daily brief clinic visits with the patient, accompanied by a sober treatment companion (friend, family member, etc.), helps the clinic staff to appropriately monitor the patient for a safe, effective detox while still being available to fulfill other important life responsibilities.
Also, detox medications are given in more effective doses and the taper is longer to allow patients to stay functional at home and at work, minimizing withdrawal symptoms and maximizing success in detox. At the end of the detox period, patients are already on medications to help them maintain sobriety and are fully prepared to start a rehab program.
